Deciding to have therapy can be a daunting process, and you will

probably want to meet your counsellor before deciding to

proceed.

The initial session is usually a relatively informal session that is

more about finding out about therapy, what therapy involves and

what you can expect from the counselling process. Towards the

end of the session there will be time for me to tell you a little about

me, my experience and my approaches, and for you to assess

whether the type of counselling I offer will be of use to you.

If you feel you would like to have counselling together, we can arrange either a number of sessions you would like to attend, (often useful if you are looking to resolve particular issues), or we can arrange for long-term open-ended therapy, which can be useful if you are looking to work on more general life issues. Open-ended therapy finishes when you feel the time is right for you to bring it to a close, whether you choose short or long-term therapy, however long you choose to continue is up to you.

Regular counselling sessions are usually weekly, they take place at the same time, on the same day, and last for fifty minutes. Sessions are available at £60 per session, and £85 per session applies for couples therapy.

“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.”
