As a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy I agree to a code of ethics for good practice and I am subject to the Professional Conduct Procedure.

After finishing university, I went on to pursue a career in marketing; however I was never truly fulfilled in my work. I decided it was time for change and for me to follow my dream and pursue a career I felt passionate about.

I trained as a counsellor at Epping Forest College - carrying out my client work in both agencies and schools; I believe there is no issue too big or too small and I work 'alongside' my clients offering a safe, non judgemental and confidential space for them to explore their feelings.

I believe that counselling is a process, and that by creating a trusting therapeutic relationship, and enabling the client to be the expert in their own world, we can both work together to unravel unhelpful feelings and emotions. Once we have unravelled these emotions, then the client can experience a positive and lasting change within themselves.

I feel strongly that the emotional well being of young people is as important as their physical health. I am passionate about helping young people and teenagers and I currently run a youth group in my local community. The group offers support, encouragement, compassion and empathy in order to nurture the young peoples emotional well being, whilst they socialise with other like minded individuals. I also support teenagers aged between 16 and 19, who are currently not in education, employment or training.

Alongside this, I have experience of counselling challenging young people in schools and I welcome the opportunity to be able to work with them again.

In the world we live in today, we face many struggles and it's good to know that both adults and children alike have someone they can turn to.

“The only person who is educated is the one who has learned how to learn and change.”

― Carl R. Rogers

I am a person centred therapist, with a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and I have experience of working with both adults and young people. I am trained to offer counselling in all areas with the understanding that each individual has their own unique concern. The majority of my work experience has been with survivors of extreme emotional and physical abuse.
